La inflación fue de 8,8% en abril y así volvió al terreno de un dígito mensual después de medio año. El Indec informó este martes que el IPC internual fue de 289,4% y que en los primeros cuatro meses del 2024 la suba de precios acumula un 65 por ciento. El Gobierno apuesta a una desinflación rápida y, por esa razón, apuró en las últimas semanas una reducción en las tasas de interés de referencia del Banco Central.
Así, es la primera vez desde octubre que el Indice de Precios al Consumidor (IPC) baja de las dos cifras mensuales. Es una tendencia que no pudo romperse desde octubre pasado, cuando la inflación fue del 8,3 por ciento. Posteriormente en medio de las elecciones presidenciales aceleró a 12,8% en noviembre y luego de la devaluación del tipo de cambio se aceleró a 25,5% en diciembre, 20,6% en enero, 13,2% en febrero y 11% en marzo. Ahora bien, para abril el Relevamiento de Expectativas de Mercado (REM) que realiza el Banco Central indicaba una inflación del 9 por ciento.
La división de mayor aumento en el mes fue Vivienda, agua, electricidad, gas y otros combustibles (35,6%) por los incrementos en las tarifas de gas, agua y electricidad.
Le siguieron Comunicación (14,2%), por las subas en servicios de telefonía e internet, y Prendas de vestir y calzado (9,6%) por cambios de temporada.
Las divisiones con mayor incidencia fueron Vivienda, agua, electricidad, gas y otros combustibles (35,6%) en las regiones de GBA, Cuyo y Patagonia, donde se destacaron las subas de Gas, Suministro de Agua y Electricidad; y Alimentos y bebidas no alcohólicas (6%) en las demás regiones, donde se destacaron Carnes y derivados; Leche, productos lácteos y huevos; y Verduras, tubérculos y legumbres.
Las dos divisiones que registraron las menores variaciones en abril fueron Bebidas alcohólicas y tabaco (5,5%) y Bienes y servicios varios (5,7%).
A nivel de las categorías, Regulados (18,4%) lideró el incremento seguida por Estacionales (9,9%), mientras que el IPC Núcleo aumentó un 6,3%.
