El sector autopartista presentó durante el mes de enero de 2024 una caída en su nivel de actividad de 26,8% respecto a diciembre de 2023. Esto se debió fundamentalmente a la menor cantidad de días hábiles de actividad a raíz del cierre de empresas autopartistas y terminales por
el receso vacacional, cerrando el mes con 11 días hábiles de actividad (versus 13 días en diciembre). Todos los rubros vin
culados a la Cadena de Valor Automotriz, e incluso la industria manufacturera en su conjunto, presentaron caídas durante el primer mes del año. Asimismo, al comparar enero de 2024 contra enero de 2023, se registró un leve incremento de 1,9%.
La producción de vehículos disminuyó durante enero de 2024 un 16,7% respecto al mismo periodo de 2023, cerrando el mes con 22.643 unidades fabricadas. Al comparar el mes de enero contra diciembre de 2023 se verifica una importante caída de 38,8% producto del receso vacacional habitual durante este mes, al igual que sucedió con el autopartismo, ya que este es el segmento que más impacta en la actividad de dicho sector.
Las exportaciones de autopartes, en tanto, 
registraron, un aumento de 21,0% respecto a enero 2023, aunque al compararlo con diciembre se registró una caída de 2,6%.
Para el segmento de mercado de reposición, al considerar la venta de combustible como un indicador aproximado del nivel de actividad del mismo, también se observó una caída para el mes de enero que se ubicó en 6,2% interanual.
